We start with a ‘datashoot’: we place a special 3D camera in a sequence of locations throughout the subject space. At each location, called a ‘scan’, the camera rotates 360 degrees while it captures 3D photographic and laser point cloud data. When complete, the collection of scans is cleaned and prepared to be uploaded to a 3D server for processing. In most cases, the finished model is ready within 48 hours of the datashoot.

You will receive either a link or an ‘embed code’ to share the model as you prefer.  The link can be emailed to whoever you wish.  The code allows you to embed the model into a website as a ‘window’ which is responsive to the type of device and size of the viewing area available on the given webpage.

Once you have received the link or embedded the code into your website, you are ready to explore your model. When the model has finished loading, click on the ‘play’ button in the centre to launch it.  The ‘dolls’ house’ view shows the entirety of the model; you can rotate and tilt it to explore the space from outside, or to find an area you want to view first-hand.  Click to dive into the model in a particular spot.

Once inside the walkthrough, you can click, hold and drag the pointer to rotate left / right or to look up and down.  Click and release on a point to move to that position.

Explore throughout the model as if you were really there in person.  Look out for datatags which are used in some models to describe features or to link you to further information.

Yes, your showcase uses a software standard called WebGL, designed to display 3D objects on a 2D screen with no add-on software required. Any device that is WebGL-capable can display a 3D showcase. For iOS devices, anything running iOS 8.1.3 or later can view models, though performance will vary based on the device’s speed and memory. For Android, most new smartphones and tablets running Android 5 and Chrome or Firefox (or another WebGL-capable browser) can support WebGL. Firefox is the preferred browser for both desktop and mobile.

Depending on the service you request, your report and other documents may differ from our standard output but you will usually receive a PDF document to your primary email address.

This report can be shared with contractors in order for them to perform rectification works.

Following an initial report, works may need to be carried out to rectify any uncovered defects.

Majlis reinspects properties at a 70% discount on your initial inspection cost.

Once a report has uncovered work that needs to be carried out, the Majlis engineering team can tender the works out and on your instruction, project manage the contracting works through to completion.

No, anyone using an up-to-date browser on a computer or device running the latest version of Windows or OSX can ‘open’ a showcase and use all its features. The latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and IE can view a 3D showcase, and Firefox is the recommended browser for both desktop and mobile. Any viewing problems are usually resolved by confirming that both the operating system and browser are up to date.
