You are nearing the end of the Defect Liability Period (“DLP”) or 11 months since you took handover of your property, and you want to make sure that there are no residual issues before the warranty expires. You want to know that all installations are fitted and working correctly as per local regulations and international best practice before the contractor’s liability finishes and they are no longer responsible when something goes wrong. You also want to know that there are no structural issues that could affect ownership of the property in the future.
Our independent inspection of the property, one final time before the DLP expires, will give you, the owner, the opportunity to have the developer rectify any outstanding issues. This provides you with a property in the best possible condition once the warranty has expired, minimising future problems with the property through the knowledge that the installations and building structure are in peak condition at this critical juncture.
You will receive a report which includes a comprehensive analysis of the building’s systems, the building fabric, and the interior finishes. This will provide evidence of any rectification works which ought to be completed by the developer before the DLP ends.
